Mailshell was founded in January of 1999 by a group of privacy zealots
dedicated to protecting the rights of both email users and senders. We
promote the widespread adoption of fair commercial email policies to stop
the frustrating and overwhelming flood of commercial email.
Mailshell will help improve the quality of email, benefiting both senders
and recipients of commercial email. Users will have greater control of
their inboxes and commercial email senders will have a more satisfied
